Directions: 
  1. Find a school appropriate Online Resource that we have not used in class and post a three sentence review of why you selected the resource and what it helped you understand better.
  2. Provide a workable link in the posting to this online resource

Goal: Identification of Parts of a Rational Functions
Goal: Sketching Rational Function Graphs


Directions: Determine each of the following about each rational function:

  1. y intercept
  2. x intercepts
  3. vertical asymptotes
  4. horizontal asymptotes
  5. slant asymptotes
  6. holes

Restrictions on this assignment:
1) You must use the integral values for the general coefficients and constants a, b, c, d, and g
2) a, b, c, d, and g are restricted to {-5, -4, -3, -2, -1, 0, 1, 2, 3, 4, 5}

Part 2: Write a general rule for each of the following given the rational function

y intercept

x intercept

Vertical asymptote

Horiztonal asymptote

Location of the hole if it exists (general x coordinate, general y coordinate)

Hint: Think about why a hole occurs!
